Appointments to get tattooed can only be made for weekdays and have to be booked in person with a minimum cash deposit of $100 for small custom / pre-drawn designs, and $200 for large pre-drawn / custom work. This deposit contributes to your final tattoo payment. Postal money orders are accepted for interstate or out of town clientele with a minimum of four weeks notice.
PLEASE NOTE: Cash deposits are required to secure your appointment time and are non-refundable. Deposits are valid for three months and can be transferred to a new appointment time if a minimum of 48hrs notice is given. Without this notice the deposit will be forfeited. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Also if you decide to change your initial design concept you will be required to leave another deposit. Please note that the deposit you leave does not entitle you to any rights of the drawings the artist prepares for you.
Can I bring my own design or idea?
Yes. Being tattooed is all about self-expression, but make sure you have a firm idea or a selection of reference images for the artist. It allows you to articulate your vision clearly and makes for a productive consultation.
How much does it cost?
Cost is dependant on a number of factors: Size, placement, complexity and style all contribute to the final price. For smaller designs we start at a minimum price of $100, however we cannot give quotes to unsighted designs over the phone. Please drop into the studio anytime for an accurate price estimate. Quotes and prices listed on pre-drawn designs are estimates only and may vary according to placement and artist.
Does it hurt?
The level of discomfort varies tremendously and depends on each individual and placement. To ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible make sure you are well fed, rested and feeling good naturally: the best state of mind to experience the tattoo process.
Can I get a tattoo if I am under 18 years of age?
No. It is illegal to tattoo a person under 18 years of age, in the state of NSW. Even with parental consent it is still illegal.
How do I care for my new tattoo?
Your tattoo will last a lifetime however it is fragile in the first few weeks, so care and respect needs to be exercised. Inner Vision has taken the utmost care in ensuring your tattoo is done with precision in a friendly and hygienic environment. Now it's your turn…
Just follow these simple steps and you should have no problems with your new tattoo.
* Remove bandage within 2-4 hours from leaving studio. Once you have removed the bangage, wash tattoo with mild soap and warm water. Shower twice a day to keep the tattoo clean. DO NOT soak in a bath.
* DO NOT re-bandage your tattoo.
* Apply a small amount of Bepanthen cream (sold at the studio) 2-3 times a day for 10 days.
* DO NOT expose your new tattoo to: salt water, chlorine water, hot tubs, steam rooms or saunas for at least 10 days.
* No excessive exercise for 10 days.
* DO NOT pick at or scratch your new tattoo.
* DO NOT listen to tattoo experts in bars or on the street for 1 month. Not all advice is good advice.
* It is advisable to keep your new tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least 30 days. Once your tattoo has completely healed always use sunscreen on the area. UV light will prematurely fade your design.
* Any questions please do not hesitate to call or drop into the studio. We are here 7 days a week from 11a.m. until 7p.m.
Is it safe?
Yes. At Inner Vision Tattoo, every instrument that is used is either single use (all needles are single use and disposed of within Health Department regulations) or ultrasonically cleaned, scrubbed, rinsed, individually bagged and finally autoclave sterilised. All washes, soaps and disinfecting solutions used are also as per Health Department specifications. To further prevent cross-contamination, all equipment touched between individual clients are protected with disposable plastic covers.
The studio has a separate sterilising area with an "approved one direction flow method" and our autoclave unit is spore tested and regularly calibrated as per State Health Department guidelines. Inner Vision Tattoo checks Health Department updates regularly for the tattoo industry and changes are implemented immediately.
Inner Vision Tattoo is Sydney's leading tattoo art studio and our sterilisation procedures are second to none!
